We started off sharing what we made for brunch. We then watched clips from the documentary "Touching the Wild." The narrator shared his experiences from living with a herd of mule deer, including their rituals, encounters, and a reunion.
To help with the upcoming holidays, we demoed a staple: homemade

Crispy Bacon
We walked through a live demo of how to make a crispy vegan bacon (Recipe & Demo). Participants were encouraged to follow along in their own kitchens.
We also introduced The Someone Project from Farm Sanctuary.

We also had a cooking demo using rice paper to make vegan bacon.

“My Life as a Turkey” Documentary
Recipe Book: Butter
We had a cook off - with a couple winners! We also spent time celebrating and learning about turkeys. We watched clips from the documentary “My Life as a Turkey.” The narrator raised a flock of wild turkeys. He introduced how this came about. Then he shared their language, and them playing with other animals.
We also made a holiday staple: homemade vegan butter.
